I’m trying to lose weight. I’m only 15 years old and it’s hard for me to go to a gym or to buy exercise equipment to exercise in the house. The only thing really holding me back from going on a diet is exercise because i know it’s hard to lose weight without exercise. Could someone help me?

1. Dont diet.
2. What do you do in PE lessons?!?!!?
One way which helps me is running. When I first started I ran round the block for… a week. And towards the end I was quite comfortable with running that distance. After that week I ran round a bigger space.
Cycling can help too!
Or dancing! Dance mat games often have a work out mode on them, or just pretend you’re a super dancing diva and dance and skip and jump wherever you go!
Running from the cops. Just kidding.
Push-ups and crunches. You don’t need anything except floor space. Running is also good.
best thing is going for a run – but you could join a martial art – that would teach you excellent fitness and stretches
you can do warm up exercises like starjumps, pressups etc, then do stretches, then go for a run – this will get you in great shape and you don’t need any equipment.
Try going for walks. I know a ton of people who’ve lost weight who try to go for a walk every day for maybe a mile or two, though you can work up to that much as you go.
You can try to jog or run if you’d like, but people who run or jog as their only exercize are more likely to quit a program or routine for weight loss.
Also as an extra note, make sure to be drinking lots of water everyday! It helps you lose weight.
Actually: its easier to lose weight by changing your diet.
But, if you want to work out at home – try getting a hold of a fitness DVD. There are tons of different types: Pilates or yoga if you dont want cardio or you could try something like kickboxing?
Other than that – search for a easy excercise plan on google or do the usual push-ups, crunches, leg lifts, ect.
Whatever suits your personality.
I really like the Denise Austin workouts. I use her videos regularly.
A lot of them require either no equipment or just some handweights or exercise bands.
Even if you just move around for a good 20-30 minutes a day doing some marching in place, running or dancing, that is great exercise! and you need no special equipment to do it.
I also have recently discovered I really like fruit and yogurt smoothies made in a blender with a couple of ice cubes thrown in. They are pretty filling and better than soda pop.
Good luck! You can do it, I know you can. Be sensible about it. Just try to get into the healthiest most fit condition you can be in, and the weight will take care of itself
there are actually a variety of ways you can exercise that don’t require any type of specialized equipment. you can do calasentics (e.g. jumping jacks, running in place, push-ups, sit-ups, etc.)
cardio is always a good thing to do whether you’re trying to shed pounds or not. start by going for short but brisk walks. as you build up your stamina start jogging/running.
another good workout is circuit training. its actually not that hard to do and it can help you keep from getting bored.
if you’re looking for alternatives to weight training you can use can goods. another suggestion is to get an empty milk carton (the plastic jugs work best) because you can adjust the weight by the amount of water you add. it might not seem heavy but after a few reps you’ll start to feel it. besides low weight and high reps is good for losing weight. if you need any help with setting up a circuit training e-mail me, i have experience in that area. but before you start any kind of diet or exercise program you should really consult your doctor just to make sure you do it safely.
I dunno how much money is an issue, but i got some ten dollar pack of resistance bands in three grades. They are phenomenal, better than weights I think in terms of toning muscle.
Walk to school if it is not too far during good weather. Do sit-ups, jump rope, or jumping jacks during commercial breaks. Use canned goods instead of lifting actual weights. You can buy an exercises video at the store for about $10.00, and just follow along. I recommend Tae Bo. It is fun, and gives a good work out. I hope this all helps you, and good luck.
Eat well balanced and nutritious meals, drink plenty of water. Walking for 30-40 minutes 2-3 times a week at a brisk pace exercises pretty much every muscle in your body. It helps you lose weight and tone up at the same time. No equipment to buy!
